α-TEA cooperates with doxorubicin and cisplatin to induce cleavage of caspase-8, caspase-9 and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase. MDA-MB-231 and BT-20 cells were treated with doxorubicin (DOXO) or cisplatin (CDDP) alone or in combination with α-TEA for 24 hours. Western blot analyses were used to detect poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP), caspase-8, and caspase-9 cleavage (a), (b). Data are representative of at least two independent experiments.
