  1. Data presented as median; interquartile range. Blood count performed to assess development of systemic inflammation whereas spleen weight recorded as an indirect marker of systemic inflammation [48]. Based on normality of distribution and variance homogeneity, data were analyzed with Kruskal–Wallis test followed by Dunn’s multiple comparison test. Statistical significance vs healthy control mice at *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01 and ***P < 0.001
