Bar graph showing quantification of β-tubulin classes I + IV (A), II (B), and III (C) by ELISA. Tumor and normal samples are designated T or N as defined in Table 1. Results are means and SDs determined from three ELISAs for each tissue sample. The means for β-tubulin classes I + IV and II were calculated without the contribution from β class III tubulin, which is known to be neuron-specific and was shown by immunohistochemistry on these tissues to be due to the presence of nerve fibers.
