Identification of the transcriptional start site and promoter region of the human Jab1 gene. (a) Primer extension (PE) analysis was performed using an oligonucleotide corresponding to the antisense sequence at the translational start site (+1). A sequencing reaction using the same primer labeled with [γ -³²P] ATP was included as a size marker and is shown on the left. An extension product of 71 bp was observed.
