Oral α-tocopheryloxyacetic acid (α-TEA) decreases breast tumor growth and prolongs survival. BALB/c mice with established 4T1 mammary tumors (day 10, ~15 mm2) received oral α-TEA in their diet (~6 mg/day, equivalent to 300 mg/kg body wt) or a nutrient-matched control diet.
