Peritoneal macrophages (3 × 105) from 7-day LMM3 tumor-bearing mice (TMps) untreated or stimulated with carbachol (CARB; 100 nM) in the absence or presence of 1 μM atropine (AT), pirenzepine (PIR), methoctramine (MET) or 4-diphenylacetoxy-N-methylpiperidine (4-DAMP) were inoculated intradermally into normal mice to evaluate the angiogenic response. **P < 0.0001, *P < 0.05 compared with untreated TMps (Mann–Whitney test). n, number of sites evaluated.
