Breast Cancer Research: Celebrating 20 Years

20 years ago Breast Cancer Research published its first articles with BMC. Well-respected in the field, the journal has continually placed in the first quartile of the ‘Oncology’ category of Journal Citation Reports. Over the past decade, Breast Cancer Research has also become the highest ranked breast cancer focused title in the field.

This anniversary marks an occasion to thank the scientific community for your support of the journal and to highlight our future goals for the journal. We are thankful to the Deputy Editors, who assessed the manuscripts, the Associate Editors, who sent manuscripts out for review, and the expert reviewers of the articles. Moreover, we are thankful to the broader readership of our journal including individuals touched by cancer, as well as nonprofit organizations that help raise breast cancer awareness.

Breast Cancer Research is built on the foundation of your work, and relies on the scientific community to ensure that it continues to provide a useful resource to the cancer community. The journal has recommitted to an editorial process that provides authors with fast, rigorous peer review. To keep pace with the ever-growing research in the field, we will focus on maximizing the visibility and impact of published papers through monthly highlights and @BCRJournal.
